About the Lodge

Our property is suited for nature lovers, folks who want a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city and suburban life and adventure seekers who want to hike and explore the many trails right in front of our doorstep.

You can expect an elevated hostel experience in a rustic lodge with many communal spaces to hang out, meet new friends and plan your next day’s adventure in Point Reyes National Seashore. We are located in a quiet, secluded valley 15 minutes from Point Reyes Station and we are the ONLY accommodation inside the boundaries of the seashore.

We offer a mix of dormitory style accommodation and private rooms. All rooms have SHARED bathrooms and access to communal living, cooking and dining areas. Larger groups can book out the entire lodge for maximum privacy or book all the rooms in a building to ensure exclusive access to a kitchen and living area.

All guests should be comfortable sharing the property’s amenities with other guests. While the hostel experience is not for everyone, the heartwarming sense of community and adventure is alive and well at Limantour Lodge and we hope that all of our guests will experience the magic of laughing and sharing stories with new friends.

We cherish the amazing flora and fauna, history, and culture that makes up this special environment and we want you to enjoy it too!

Formerly the property was known as the Point Reyes Hostel and was operated by Hosteling International. In 2023 we took over the property and renamed it Limantour Lodge, a nod to the beautiful beach and estero just down the road.
